Enjoy UNLIMITED Japanese Cuisine for Only 199php at HODAI

by - August 22, 2019

For today’s entry on #TheThreeTansFoodDiaries, let’s dig into a new Japanese restaurant located at Barangay West Triangle, Quezon City offering UNLIMITED fusion Japanese cuisine starting at only 199php!

The restaurant, aptly named HODAI (which means ALL YOU CAN in Japanese), is a house-turned-restaurant owned by a Korean restaurateur. The food they offer are a fusion of Korean and Japanese dishes, infused with the popular Filipino fondness for anything UNLI.

They are currently celebrating their 100 Days Anniversary Promo offering 50% off on all their UNLI Sets from Mondays to Fridays and 40% off every weekends and holidays.

All of their food sets offer value for your money as they are cooked upon every order, and are made with fresh authentic Japanese and Korean ingredients.

For only 199php per head, you may avail of the VALUE SET which includes UNLIMITED servings of:

Teriyaki
Japchae or Rose Cream Pasta
Tempura
(California Maki) Roll Tower
Korean Fried Chicken
Kani Salad

The VALUE SET is NOT available every weekend or during holidays.

For only 249php per head, the SILVER SET includes UNLIMITED servings of:

Teriyaki
Japchae or Rose Cream Pasta
Tempura
Roll Tower
Korean Fried Chicken
Kani Salad
Kimchi Gyoza
Tonkatsu

The SILVER SET is also available every weekend or during holidays for only 299php per head.

For only 299php per head, the GOLD SET already includes UNLIMITED servings of:

Teriyaki
Japchae or Rose Cream Pasta
Tempura
Roll Tower
Korean Fried Chicken
Kani Salad
Kimchi Gyoza
Tonkatsu
Cheese Cream Spicy BBQ Bowl

The GOLD SET is also available every weekend and during holidays for only 359php per head.

By the way, they also have Miso Soup and rice, which are offered for FREE in UNLIMITED servings as well. It’s a nice option for families with kids who love eating soup with rice, as my son does.

What I can say about the food:

I love Japanese and Korean food so I might be a little bias in saying that I love their dishes. Their Rose Cream Pasta, Cheese Cream Spicy BBQ Bowl and their Roll Tower are my instant favorites as all of these are perfectly creamy, cheesy and tasty. They also got their Kani Salad and Tempura right which are both staples for Japanese food lovers.

On the other hand, I feel like their Kimchi Gyoza is lacking a little bit on the kimchi department. I could also care less about their Korean Fried chicken, Japchae, and Tonkatsu. They could also give their Teriyaki a little makeover as it was too sweet for our taste buds.

With the dishes being either hits or misses for every customer, it was nice of Hodai to give you the option to only order the dishes that you prefer instead of being served food that you don’t like from their menu. As long as it’s included in the set you paid for, of course.

What I can say about the service:

The Japanese are known for their Gambate attitude in the workplace. They are always busy, always rushing, and are always on-the-go because they hate wasting their time dilly-dallying. With this in mind, we were a bit disappointed that the waiters at Hodai did not reflect this beautiful Japanese culture. There were a lot of waiting time in between dishes, which was a huge surprise given that there were a lot of empty tables when we dined.

Overall, we had a nice dining experience at Hodai and would definitely recommend this place to anyone who loves anything Korean, Japanese and UNLIMITED. Visit them every day at Lunch Time from 11 am – 3 pm, and at Dinner Time from 5 pm – 10 pm at #14 Examiner St. Brgy. West Triangle, Quezon City. You may also contact them through 09564605848 or 09202341200.

We would love to see you at Hodai too!
